A picture of a deer in the woods behind a woodpile. Taken in 1938. On the back is written, "June 06/38. Picture taken near rear door of island-camp. I took six pictures of this deer and could have had sixty for it played around a long time while I continued the job of paint-ing when there late last June. 'Only man is wild'. F.S."
