A photograph from the last trip of the season in 1938, of a boat moving through water. On the back is written, "Last trip of season 1938, returning (reluctantly) from island-camp with single reefed main-wind ESE, sea running ENE and intermittent little rain squalls will perhaps depict the story of a delightful last-of-the-season sail better than I could in writing down words. Truly, there is a joy in life in a struggle with the elements. F.S."
