Beginning in 1981, language programming found a permanent home at Lakehead University's Thunder Bay campus. Students, and their families, from neighbouring communities, would relocate to Thunder Bay in July to mid-August with many living on campus.  The student handbooks were provided to each student and offered information to help make their stay in Thunder Bay and on campus more comfortable.
