Lakehead University Coat of Arms. Lakehead College of Arts, Science and Technology (LCAST) was granted its Coat of Arms in 1959. The Latin motto Ad Augusta Per Angusta (Achievement through Effort) was suggested by Carlo Fonda, a Lakehead English professor.
