Buried podzol under peat in Dunmore Twp, Plonski Forest near Swastika. Change in drainage was sudden and caused by a beaver dam located in the bog down from where photo was taken.

Buried profile near Bancroft as a result of a flood; n.b. there would appear to be long intervals between floods. Spodosol, P, C, WT, D.

Burn in progress. Purpose to reduce LF and prepare seedbed for both white pine and any yellow birch. Fire was set in April and soil was too wet. Result was not satisfactory. Nr. Dorset.Cf.#58 & 59.
