An boat adapted travel for the ice break-up season in Lake of the Woods.
"Rather a nondescript but nevertheless a glorifeid watertight box, iron shod to which was attached a tail with a motor mounted above it (1927 vintage) A prop whittled out of spruce was attached to the motor shaft and supplied the propulsion. It had the acclaimed distinction of having the doubtful world's title of being able to pull itself out of the water onto the ice during the period of break-up. A Fisherman on the Lake of the Woods devised this contrivance to enable him to transport fish during the in between season when the price was high.....it worked."
