The printed program and seating arrangements have to be made with full knowledge of those who will be present, so your cooperation in this matter is important. 2. GOWNS AND HOODS Gowns, caps and hoods wil 1 be picked up at the University Residence Cafeteria commencing at 1:00 p.rn. on Saturday, .June 8th, 1968. Technology Graduands Males - will pick up gowns only Females - will pick up gowns and caps University Graduands General and Honors Graduands Males - will pick up gowns and hoods Females - will pick up gowns , caps and hoods 3. The graduand will also pick up an IBM type card which will have his full name and the number showing his position in the lineup, assuming that all of the graduands are present. When the student is being ushered to his seat, he will surrender this card to the Marshal responsible for th e collecti on of these in order to assure that his name is called. This card wi l l be returned to the student only upon the surrender of his convation dress to a member of the staff of the Registrar's Office at th e University Centre. In the event the card is not reclaimed and the dress returned to the University, the student will be hilled for t he cost of the gown, etc. 4. TASSELS ON CAPS Tassels should be worn over t he left eye by FACULTY, over the right eye hy STUDENTS. Those qual i fying for the Bachelor of Arts and Science Degrees will change the tass e l to the left side after the Degree has been conferred. �Page 2. HOODS Hoods will not be worn, but w:ill be carried over the left arm, until the graduand has been laureated by the Chancellor and hooded by the Marshal. They will then be worn for the balance of the proceedings. S. ASSEMBLING AND ROBING AREA - Students· The Technology and University graduands will receive their convocation dress and IBM card in the University Residence Cafeteria and should be on hand by 1:00 P.M. in order that all participants may receive last minute instructions and in order that a rehearsal may be held. They will assemble in the Cafeteria and the aJjoining lounge according to their number on the 1BM card. Once assembled they will march in two to the C. J. Sanders Athletic Building. They should be entering the Convocation hall at 2:30 p.m., thence the Convocation will begin. ASSEMBLING /\NO ROBING AREAS - Faculty, Senate Faculty, including Senate members, will robe in the back lounge in the new part of the s tudent residence. In the event the weather is fair, they will exit from the rear door so as to follow hehind the student procession to the C. J. Sanders Athletic Building. Board members robes will he available in the robing room. Faculty members who wish to borrow a gown should contact the Registrar immediately.
