SUBJECT: Governor-General The above persons will be the official party to meet the Governor-General and accompany him and his party on the tour of the University August 19th. The Governor-General's party consisting of the Governor-General, his wife, her lady-in-waiting, his secretary, his permanent aide-de-camp and Commander Edward Fallen (his local aide) are expected to arrive at the Field House at 11:30 a.m. on the 19th, assuming the weather is fair. If it is raining or co_d and blustery the Governor-General 1 s party will arrive at the Library at 11:30 a.m. The Governor-General and her Excellency after being introduced by Dr. Tamblyn to members of the Lakehead University party, will be conducted on a tour of the University's facilities including the Field House, a walk across the bridge past the residence complex to the Library where the Governor-General will be asked to sign the official Visitors' Book. Mr. Eric Belton will meet the party at the Library. From the Library the party will proceed to the Centennial Building and return via the Agora to the Great Hall. As at 12:30 p.m. the Governor-General and his party will become the guests of the Mid-Canada Development Corridor conference.
