The Dawson residence, Corner Park and Cumberland Sts. "The S. J. Dawson home the present site of the metropolitan store. His old property extended from the old Algoma Hotel to Park Street. Dawson was one of the first property owners in Port Arthur and can be acclaimed as the father of our city."
