PORT ARTHUR. ONTARIO

February 6, 1961.
Mr. Douglas Fisher, M.P.,
For Port Arthur, Ontario,
Parliament Buildings,
OTTAWA 4, Ontario.
Dear Doug:
The members of Thunder Bay Lodge 10, on
December 28, 1960 forwarded two applications for
certification to the Canada Labour Relations Board.
The two represent the largest Companies, Saskatchewan
and Ha.nitoba Pools, for a test case. Mr. J. s. Gunn,
investigated our books and mentioned the Board would
sit February 8 & 9th and felt we will need to show
that our situation has changed. ??
Lodge 650 is intervening, also the Companies.
This puts the Brotherhood of Railway & Steamship Clerks
in the middle of what could be a nasty situation. We
intend to support the Brotherhood actions taken on our
behalf.
The Executive committee and Board members of
Dodge 10, at a meeting January 31, 1961, passed a motion
that you be contacted in regard friendly assistance in
connection with our appearance at a Hearing of the Board
in Ottawa. (Same representatives, Trist and Seaman are
expected to again represent the electrical group.)
You may be able to talk to Bernard Wilson in
regard the situation, and whether we should hold other
applieations or send them in.
You may wish to talk to Frank Hall to get
more of his good advise, for our consideration.
Although wou will be very busy this weekend in
Port Arthur, we trust you will spare us time to talk
over the problem.
Yours very truly,

Reeording Secretary,# 10.
